I've only really used it once so far. I did like the results I got. I was able to put a sharper edge on a knife using the Anystone with my Japanese waterstones than I was able to achieve using my diamond stones on the Xarilk sharpener that I have.

To be so simple, this thing works great! Super simple to use and can be used with virtually any sharpening stone. The only down side I can see is if you have different height stones between re-profile and finishing your edge. If your stone heights are different you would have to reset your angle. If you have dual sided stones of the same height it is perfect.

Great product. Initial setup takes about a minute to dial it in, then you're off. I'm used to guided systems and very rusty with my stones. Being a home cook with several knives in rotation means I don't have a huge need to visit the stones so often as to needlessly wear my knives down, but I need to build the muscle memory and confidence to actually free hand, again. I've seen this described as "training wheels". This is perfect for that, at least for me. It's 3D printed, but feels rock solid. The incorporated allen bit is a REALLY nice feature. The threading on the bolts is fantastic. Getting the tip still takes a little finesse, but that's part of the process, either way. I got it in, went straight to my stone station, and got to work on my ko-bunka. Really happy with how quick it made the process.

Consistency is what this sharpening guide will deliver. Consistent angles, bevels, de-burring, and sharpness.

Largely solves the greatest learnig curve problem of knife sharpening: maintaining the correct angle. The fact that it does it for both sides at once is amazing, making it possible to switch back and forth without resetting the blade, is incredible. Even though they claim that it works well for any size knife, it is, in practice, way easier to maintain the angle with "full size" knives, as opposed to, say, a paring knife or pocket knife.

Great product. From fit to finish it is made with a very specific purpose in mind. To help sharpen your knives perfectly! The adjustable angle guide is easy to use and the clamp holds the blade perfectly.

I have been sharpening my knives by hand with diamond and ceramic stones for the last ten years with relatively consistent results. Maybe I’m not quite as consistent as I thought because this Anystone Sharpener helped me put some of the sharpest, cleanest edges on my knives in half an hour.

All that being said, I’d love to see this product machined in aluminum.

Easy to use and effective. Comparing to others, it's more simple, more useful. I like it. Just to say a cons, not enough grip on the knive from the clamp. I have to use a piece of rubber from bicicle tire. It will be nice coming from factory, like in other sharpeners.

It works exactly as it says it does, for sure a must buy if you want to treat your knives well on any old whetstone. I've got a cheap (but good) whetstone but I get 2x the quality out of it using my Anystone.

Versatile, very simple to use and very convenient.
It helps sharpen a knife while keeping the correct angle, even if you have no prior experience in sharpening. That said, one should still understand the basic concept of sharpening. This device eliminates the need for skill in maintaining the knife’s angle on the stone.
Furthermore, it works with all sharpening stones you may already own. I give it five stars for its simplicity, practicality, and price.

Great guide. Easy to use and will get the best out of your preferred sharpening stones. Best on blades 1 inch or wider. Excellent for kitchen knives. Would recommend.

Apparently I stink at freehand sharpening. This is the tool I needed. Got them sharp now!
